I don’t feel much like writing a new blog post right now and yet here we are… not far from the end of July. Looking through my Lightroom catalogue, a set of mating green-eyed craneflies caught my eye. Photographed back in May last year, I spotted them at the far end of my favourite meadow. I loved the way they were stretched between two grass stems. In fact, this is probably the only way I was able to get sufficient depth of field, as they were pulled on to a more linear plane. Even so, I changed up from my normal bug aperture of f/14 to f/18 in the hope of getting everything in focus.
