More Foxy in the sun

More Foxy in the sun

Foxy in the Sun 1

I‘ve blogged about our little Foxy in her favourite sun spot before, but I couldn’t resist two more images I took recently.

Foxy came to us from Romania nearly four years ago. She was always a tiny thing, but she hasn’t grown much. I weigh all our cats monthly and at one point she was around 3.7 kg, but for the past year or so she has hovered around 3.0 kg. I used to worry about her, but she’s in wonderful condition and is full of beans… when she’s awake. The rest of the time she’s curled up on one of the cat beds in the attic. I always count the cats before heading off to a reserve and I can almost guarantee that Foxy is missing on the first round. I have to go back upstairs and hunt around, where I usually find her almost hidden in a dark corner.

She can be shy and yet she also has her moments. They tend to be first thing in the morning when she wants to crawl under the covers with me just after the alarm has gone off. The other time is as my husband is about to serve up dinner. Then she will jump on the back of my chair where I am sitting in the study and writhe around like a snake.

Her absolute favourite position though is beside our bed in the afternoon sun. During the winter the sun is low enough to catch the bed and then the cats line up along one side. From spring onwards, the sun gets too high up in the sky and there is only a smaller bright patch on the carpet. There is always competition for the best place, but more often than not, Foxy gets there first. She will always be our pretty little kitten/cat.

    1. That’s very kind Sid and happy Caturday to you too! It’s getting warm and I must try and finish shearing one of our llamas this weekend. I wish it were as easy to do as it is to type! 😀

      1. Llamas! Never seen one live, only in TV! Must be fantastic 😍
Have a wonderful sunny Sunday 💕

        1. We’ve had llamas for nearly 25 years. The new boys are lovely, but their coats are longer and they need shearing in the summer. One is good, the other is being… difficult (sigh)

          1. That must be very difficult to convince the fluffy guy to be calm and quiet 😁
            Happy Sunday

            1. Sorry Sid. I’ve been busy all week, but just found this in the spam bin. Happy Sunday to you too. Only it’s now the Sunday a week after your comment (sigh…). I have lots of new damselflies and butterflies for you when I get around to processing the images 🙂

              1. Hi 😀
Don’t worry, we are all experiencing spam problems due to the new Privacy Compliance in Europe 😁
I am curious to see your photos 😍😊
Now, it’s midnight, so I wish you a wonderful Monday 😄
