I had intended to write a longer blog post at the end of this month, but seeing as I managed to break one of my ribs the other day, I had better keep things short and sweet.
We’ve been having an awful lot of weather recently and after a lovely warm and sunny day yesterday, we are back to cloud, rain and gales. In spite of this though, the gales aren’t strong enough here in the South East to make a trip to Newhaven worthwhile, so perhaps I really should take it easy for a few days and allow my body to heal.
I thought it might be nice to share something where weather doesn’t feature much at all. Both of these photographs were taken on the same day back in October 2019, when I made the long drive from home to Oare Marshes, where I found the boat (below). The image shown above was shot an hour later at Herne Bay.

14 Mar 2026OhMy! Please, take care of your health! Weather is so nasty: it’s raining now, again. It’s exhausting, one day shines the sun, the next day is cold and rainy.
Patience is my new mantra 😏
Have a relaxing Sunday!

15 Mar 2026Thank you Sid. I’m taking care today by sitting down and working on my web site. It’s not due to rain here for a few days, so I’m keeping an eye on our other field. With a bit of luck, our llama and goats can be allowed on the fresh grass in a couple of days 🙂
