Over the past couple of weeks, I have become completely obsessed with dandelion seeds. Having watched a YouTube video nearly a year ago, I began to frantically collect batches from my daily walk. Flowers not fully out were placed in vases in the utility room and left to go to seed. The seeds were then carefully collected and stored in a cardboard tube. All the other bits and pieces were ordered and put away for future use. Only I never used them. I had one rather disappointing session and I despaired of ever getting the images I was after.
Then I had another go earlier this month and the results were much more encouraging. True… setting up took simply ages. Especially when using a pair of seeds, as both top and bottom of each needed to be in focus. These only took an hour. Another photoshoot a few days later took nearly three! Later, I changed tactics and managed from start to finish in about 90 minutes.
I have more ideas I want to try, but there is a problem. I’m keeping so many that once again, I am way behind with my processing. I’m also beginning to think I may need an entire section in here to display them. Expect to see more in the future!

3 Mar 2021Thank you, Sid. I love dandelions too and their bigger cousin, salsify. I can’t wait for everything to begin flowering again 🙂
