Fairfield Church Milky Way

One image that has been missing from my collection – the Milky Way behind the 13th-century church of St Thomas a Becket. We drove there a few weeks ago in the hope of catching some meteors, but they were playing hide and seek. I took this instead and we were back in the car and on our way home before it was fully astro dark.

The church is kept locked and I have no idea as to the source of the light shining through the middle window.

  1. That’s the shot that I was hoping for a few weeks ago. Love it 🙂

    1. Keep watching the forecasts and you will get the shot you want. I had a bad year with astrophotography last year because the weather just wouldn’t play ball 🙂

  2. What a wonderful shot ♥️
Living in this big city southwards it is impossible to watch the Milky Way: too many street lights. But I do adore to admire your photos, it’s my way to dream of stars 😜😊
    Have a nice evening!

    1. Thank you Sid. I’m sorry that you don’t get to see the stars. It’s pretty dark here at home, but I obviously travel a long way at times to get good foreground interest. I have another one to share soon 🙂
