I had been stuck indoors for a few days after a particularly wet spell. There were no bugs to photograph and I was desperate to get out with my camera. Then, the rain stopped abruptly in the late afternoon, just before we went out to feed our llamas and goats. Walking back through the yard with the empty buckets a while later, I was struck by the backlit raindrops across one of our fields. My husband kindly found an old feed bag for me to lay on as I rushed indoors to get my trusty Nikon D800 and macro lens.
