These two images were taken while I was at Elmley nature reserve on 14th March this year. It had been an otherwise fruitless day, but as I was thinking about heading home, I heard something clattering on my lens, which was resting on a bean bag over my car window. The “something” turned out to be hail and I realised that I was caught between a dark sky to the front and bright sun from behind.
Quickly changing my settings for a landscape panorama, I grabbed a few images along the horizon. The photograph featured above were two shots stitched together in Lightroom. (I think it did a pretty good job).
