I was drying my hair upstairs this morning and it dawned on me that the sun no longer reached across our bed. The cats can still sunbathe on the carpet, or on the window sill and in fact, three of them were already lined up by the window.
It reminded me of the last photo shoot I did on the bed just after Christmas. Having put the fluffy throw in place in the morning, I had planned to photograph any cats in position by the time we had finished the morning rounds of feeding and cleaning. When I finally got upstairs a few hours later, there were plenty in place, but nobody was willing to co-operate. Any likely subjects closer to the window had several others cluttering the background. I waited for over an hour, but they only shuffled positions and I was on the verge of giving up, when Tarzan appeared. Sensing that I needed a cat for a starring role, he promptly cleared the bed and began playing with this colourful boink toy.

21 Apr 2023Thank you Sid. Tarzan is certainly a good guy. We’re having yet another cold and wet day. Two days ago I was chasing butterflies in the sun and thinking Spring had finally arrived…
